Vaccine Equity, Access and Global Health

This session will address differences in access to vaccines across countries, communities, and population groups. Topics will include affordability, availability, distribution, healthcare infrastructure, financing, zero-dose populations, geographic barriers, and strategies for reaching underserved communities. Speakers will examine approaches for improving equitable access to routine and newly introduced vaccines, particularly in low- and middle-income settings. Discussions may also cover international partnerships, procurement systems, technology transfer, local manufacturing, and sustainable immunization financing. Researchers and global-health professionals can present evidence from vaccination programmes and access initiatives. The session will encourage dialogue among public-health experts, policymakers, researchers, healthcare organizations, NGOs, vaccine manufacturers, and international institutions working toward broader and more equitable access to safe and effective vaccines.
